Casual Wear: The Lil' Forgotten Dress

Hi Ladies!

So, the future hubby and I went to South St. to do a little shopping for his summer wardrobe. I am trying to encourage him to re-vamp his closet and for a lack of a better word "mature" his style a little bit but he is so resistant to change :-(  However, he's slowly coming around. We also decided to take a stroll over at Race Street Pier. It's so peaceful and serene. Definitely a nice, quiet, calm, relaxing, place to enjoy some quality time with someone special. Anywho, these are a couple of pics the boo took while on our late night stroll. The lighting was non-existent so apologies in advance for some of the unclear photos...

So, about this dress...I purchased this dress about two years ago and it has been sitting in my closet ever since. I am so weird like that...I let "new items" sit for so long that I kind of forget about them but I'm ALWAYS complaining that I have nothing to wear..smh! I know I am not the only one that does this! :-)

Corporate Chic: Floral Peplum

Happy Monday!!!

Hoping everyone had a Blessed weekend. My weekend was pretty relaxing, too relaxing actually. I planned to clean the house from top to bottom, turn my closet over from winter to summer, and bust out a couple of youtube videos...ask me how many of those things I actually did? Not nair single one...Oh well, there's always next weekend. :-) Anywho, this was my work look for the day. Hope you Enjoy! XOXO

I had some slight hesitation on whether to wear the above shoes or not, due to the black straps with the navy skirt. Is pairing navy and black a fashion faux pas? What do you ladies think?

So, I also have been pretty unhappy with my hair as of lately. It just doesn't curl right...the products I'm using make my hair look straggly and frizzy. So in desperate need to have my tight springy curls back, I decided to try the Shea Mopisture line. These are the Results....Yeah, the search continues...not a fan of the outcome at all :-(

Corporate Chic: Coral and Mint

Hello Ladies and Gents!!!

It's that time again, the Bloggers Do It Better Challenge. I must admit, I've missed these challenges and this particular one came at such a great time. I planned to wear this little ensemble last week but I saw Kristina's upcoming challenge and decided to save it for this week. Great Fashion Minds think alike.. :-)  I love the coral and mint combo, very soft and so appropriate for Spring and it plays right into the pastel trend. This is one of those looks that didn't photograph too well. The colors and the textures do not show up on camera to my liking but it's ok.... Well, here was my work look for today. Hope you Enjoy :-)

I kept my accessories pretty simple this time around. Looking back on it, an arm party would've been perfect for this look.

The skirt photographs more pink than coral but it really is more on the coral side...I promise :-)

Corporate Chic: Taupe with a pop of pink

It has been quite awhile since I've posted and I extend my sincerest apologies. Life Happens but I am back on track! It's so funny because I haven't taken blog pics in so long it felt so weird in front of the camera! Well, I'm not going to make this post too wordy... Today's post features a little polka dot skirt I picked up from H&M a couple of months ago. I think it's so adorable and I already envision several ways that I plan to style this little gem.
